Slovenia Business Residency Programme

Slovenia is an EU member state located in Central Europe at the crossroads of main European cultural and trade routes. It is bordered by Italy to the west, Austria  to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia  to the southeast, and the Adriatic Sea  to the southwest. Slovenia has a population of 2.095 million, and largest city is Ljubljana.

The Slovenia Business Residency requires company registration and fulfilling one of the three conditions for business residency:

  • € 50.000 investment to fixed assets.
  • or employing an EU citizen for 6 months.
  • or € 10.000 monthly revenue each month for 6 months.

Then you have to submit the application for the work and residence permit in the Slovenian embassy in the country of citizenship/residence (or a Slovenian embassy closest to your country of residence, if your country does not have Slovenian citizenship). After receiving the residence permit, your company would need to pay you salary (€1,300 is the approximate expense your company has with one person on minimal salary, while you receive around 800€ from that amount to bank account, the rest goes to the government for social contributions).

  • At least €50.000 investment.
  • A fee of €7,500 deposited for initial share capital.
  • Monthly expenses of virtual office and accounting - basic accounting with legal support starts at 140€+VAT/month, while virtual office costs 65€+VAT/month.
